CONTEST-I: Concept Plan Formulation Competition

Guidelines For  Concept Plan Formulation Competition

Eligibility:

• The contest is open to all Indian citizens, without any age bar.

• Only one entry from each participant will be considered. Multiple entries made by any participant will be deemed disqualified from the contest.

 Language and presentation:

• Participants may submit a comprehensive concept plan focusing on energy conservation within a chosen area. Participants have the option to select any area of their choice; it could be a State/UT, District, Region, Village/Hamlet, Urban Circle, or Society.
• The concept plan may include technological solutions, policy interventions or any other creative approach on energy conservation.
• Submissions should be well-documented and address key aspects such as assessing existing energy consumption patterns, identifying challenges and opportunities, proposing strategies for energy efficiency, financial implications and anticipated results.
• Participants are required to submit an original concept plan written in English language only.
• The Concept Plan should be typed in MS Word Format using a single-column layout, font type – Times New Roman and font size -12 with 1.5”spacing.
• The Concept Plan should reflect original idea, innovation, creation and presentation

 Length of the proposal:

• The Concept Plan should be limited to 2500 words.

 How to apply:

• Register on www.4ewave.com and upload your entries.
• Concept Plan should be uploaded in MS WORD format in the given Tab.
• Concept Plan sent by post will not be considered. Mention of the participant’s name/email or other personal details anywhere in the body of the Concept Plan will lead to disqualification.
• A scanned PDF document of the participant’s ID showing proof should be uploaded in given Tab.
• Deficient in any of the above- mentioned documents will lead to

 Submission Charges:

• There is no registration fee for the Competition.

 Important Dates:

Essays may be submitted anytime between   16 January 2024 (10.00hrs) to  20^th February,2024(23.59hrs). Entries received after due date will  not be entertained.

Evaluation criteria:

The criteria for evaluation Concept Plan will be:

• Originality of thought and depth of knowledge;
• Clear reasoning and quality of argument;
• Excellent analytical and critical analysis;
• Properly structured;
• How effectively it revolves around and addresses the problem statement;
• Financial Viability and positive internal rate of return.

 Awards:

• Awesome awards for 10 Best Concept Plans.
• Certificates of Participation to all participants.
• Selected Concept Plans will be considered for publication in the upcoming issue of our e-magazine, e-kshitij.

 Declaration of result:

Results will be available on the www.4EWave.com by 10^th March,2024

 Prize for winners:

• Prizes will be awarded to the winners on the date to be notified, in the second week of March, 2024.
• The decision of the evaluation committee shall be final and binding upon all the participants.
• Winners will be intimated separately by email within a week’s time. In case, if the winner fails to respond to our notification attempts within the given  time, the committee reserves the right to disqualify that participant and offer the prize to the next eligible participant in order of merit.

 1.11   Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

• Authors should refrain from misrepresenting the research which could damage the trust, the professionalism of scientific authorship, and ultimately the entire scientific endeavor.
• The submitted work should be original and should not have been published elsewhere in any form or language (partially or in full).
• Concept Plan should be presented clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data manipulation.
• No data, text, or theories by others are presented as if they were the author’s own (‘plagiarism’).
• Proper acknowledgements to other works must be given (this includes material that is closely copied (near verbatim), summarized and/or paraphrased), quotation marks (to indicate words taken from another source) are used for verbatim copying of material, and permissions secured for material that is copyrighted.
• The use of artificial intelligence (AI)–generated text may result in the disqualification of the author.

Important note: The evaluation authority may use software to screen for plagiarism.

General:

• If an entry violates the guidelines, it will be disqualified from the evaluation process without any further intimation or explanation to the participants.
• The 4E Wave team reserves the right to an exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to copy, store, edit, distribute, transmit and publish competition entries.
• We may undertake publicity activities relating to the competition and prize awards. Winners shall agree to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of region of residence in any post-prize-winning publicity activities.
• Any dispute or issue related to this competition shall be decided by the 4E Wave team which will be final and binding upon all.
• The 4E Wave team reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the competition or the guidelines/evaluation criteria etc. at any time without any public notice.

 CONTEST-II : Essay Writing Competition

Guidelines for Essay Competitions

Eligibility:

• The essay writing competitions is open for all School/College/University students in two categories:
• Category I: School students from Class 6th to 12^th.
• Category II: College and University students
• Only one entry from each participant will be considered. Multiple entries made by any participant will be deemed disqualified from the contest.

 Length of the essay:

The length of the essay should not exceed  more than 1500 words.

 Language and presentation:

• Participants may submit Essay on the theme ‘Innovative Ideas on Energy Conservation and Impact thereof’.
• The medium of essay shall be English only.
• The essay must be typed in an A-4 size MS word document using a single-column layout, font type- Times New Roman and size-12, with 1.5” spacing.
• The essay should reflect original idea, innovation, creation and presentation. Plagiarism or non- conformity to the guidelines will lead to disqualification of the participants. The core team of 4E Wave shall not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringement of intellectual property rights carried out by the participants.

 Manner of submission:

• Participants need to register on 4ewave.com.
• Essays should be uploaded in MS WORD format in the given Tab.
• Essays sent by post will not be considered. Mention of the participant’s name/email or other personal details anywhere in the body of the essay will lead to
