An energetic, youth-led initiative committed to advancing the principles of Eco-friendliness, Economy, Education, and Empowerment (4Es) in the realm of energy conservation and sustainability.
This movement has been initiated by the youth with the support of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), the State Designated Agency (SDA) responsible for energy conservation in Jammu and Kashmir, and Government College of Engineering & Technology (GCET), Jammu. We invite you to explore our online hub, www.e4wave.com, where knowledge is shared, innovative ideas flourish, and active engagement in initiatives related to conservation and sustainable practices takes centre stage.
Eco-friendliness, Economy, Education & Empowerment

Emphasizing energy-saving solutions that lead to economic benefits for individuals and communities.
Focusing on educating the public about energy-saving methods and their importance.
Empowering individuals and communities to take active roles in conserving energy and reducing consumption.
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) established by the Government of India in 2002 under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001, is mandated to develop policies and strategies for energy conservation. BEE’s mission is to reduce the energy intensity of the Indian economy through self-regulation and market principles. It collaborates with Designated agencies, Potential Consumers, and other organisations to promote energy-saving practices. Recent amendments in the EC Act, 2022, include non-fosssil source usage norms, a framework for carbon markets, and enhanced regulations for the building sector. BEE implements schemes like the National Mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency (NMEEE), Perform Achieve and Trade (PAT) scheme, and initiativespromoting net-zero commitments and the launch of the Indian Carbon Market. Additionally, BEE oversees the Star Rating of Commercial buildings, promotes energy efficiency in the transport sector, and leads the and leads the E-Mobility initiative. It also administers the Standards and Labeling (S&L) program, providing consumers withinformation about energy consumption and cost-saving potential for various appliances.
