CONTEST-I:Guidelines For  Novel Idea/ Concept Plan Formulation Competition

Eligibility

• The competition is open to all Indian citizens, without any age bar.

Requirements

• Submit a novel idea or Concept Plan on Energy Conservation, with a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 2,500 words.

• The proposal should focus on a specific area, which may be a State/UT, District, Region, Village/Hamlet, Urban Circle, locality, or society, as per the applicant’s choice.

• The idea/plan on Energy Conservation should be framed in such a manner that it demonstrates clear potential for energy savings if implemented on the ground.

• The plan may include one, two, or all of the following components:

• Policy Interventions (If the proposal entails financial investment, a payback analysis may also be included.)
• Innovative strategies to engage and mobilize maximum participation of citizens, transforming the initiative into a massive national-level campaign on Energy Conservation within a short timeframe, supported by a clear and structured roadmap of activities.
• An original technical research proposal on any energy efficiency technology, with proper justification establishing its practical feasibility and implementability.
• Any other novel idea utilizing existing technologies to enhance energy efficiency and conservation.

• The Concept Plan shall be  in English Language only  and must be typed in MS Word Format using a single-column layout, font type – Times New Roman and font size -12 with 1.5 lines spacing.

• The Concept Plan should reflect original idea, innovation, creation and presentation

How to Participate (2 Simple Steps)?

• Step 1: Register on the 4E Wave website
• Visit www.4ewave.com , register/ sign up using your name, email and mobile number.
• On successful registration, you will receive a participation certificate on your email, jointly signed by Secretary, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, GoI & Convener, 4E Wave, J&K.
• If already registered, simply log in and proceed to participate.

Step 2: Submit Your Novel Idea/ Concept Plan on pre-designed Form available on 4E Wave Portal

• Upload your Novel Idea/ Concept Plan on the pre-designed form available on the 4E Wave portal. Fill in all required details in the prescribed format and upload a clear scanned copy of your Aadhaar Card or Pan Card.

Incomplete submissions shall not be considered.

Submission Period

• The Novel Ideas/ Concept Plans may be submitted from 20^th  February 2026 (10:00 AM) to 20th March 2026 (11:59 PM).

• Entries received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Selection of Winners/ Evaluation criteria:

The criteria for evaluation Concept Plan will be:

• Originality of thought and depth of knowledge;
• Clear reasoning and quality of argument;
• Excellent analytical and critical analysis;
• Properly structured;
• How effectively it revolves around and addresses the problem statement;
• Mass Mobilization & Behavioral Change Potential
• Financial Viability and positive internal rate of return.

Prizes & Certificates

• The Top Three Best Concept Plans, as determined through the Evaluation Criteria given above, shall be declared as winners and will receive exciting prizes.
• The top ten Concept Plans shall receive Certificates of Merit signed by a dignitary.

• Ethical Responsibilities of Authors:

• Authors should refrain from misrepresenting the research which could damage the trust, the professionalism of scientific authorship, and ultimately the entire scientific endeavor.
• The submitted work should be original and should not have been published elsewhere in any form or language (partially or in full).
• Concept Plan should be presented clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data manipulation.
• No data, text, or theories by others are presented as if they were the author’s own (‘plagiarism’).
• Proper acknowledgements to other works must be given (this includes material that is closely copied (near verbatim), summarized and/or paraphrased), quotation marks (to indicate words taken from another source) are used for verbatim copying of material, and permissions secured for material that is copyrighted.

• Important Instructions:
• Only one entry per participant is permitted.
• Multiple entries made by any participant will render him disqualified from the contest.
• If an entry violates the guidelines, it will be disqualified from the evaluation process without any further intimation or explanation to the participants.
• The 4E Wave team reserves the right to an exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to copy, store, edit, distribute, transmit and publish competition entries.
• We may undertake publicity activities relating to the competition and prize awards. Winners shall agree to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of region of residence in any post-prize-winning publicity activities.
• Any dispute or issue related to this competition shall be decided by the 4E Wave team which will be final and binding upon all.
• The 4E Wave team reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the competition or the guidelines/evaluation criteria etc. at any time without any public notice.

 CONTEST-II :Guidelines For  Meme Creation Competition

Eligibility

• The competition is open to all School/College/University students
• Google form link 

• Create a funny and creative meme on Energy Conservation.
• Meme size must not exceed 200 kB.
• The meme must be an image only (JPG or GIF format).
• Videos and Reels are not allowed.
• Language allowed: English or Hindi only.
• The meme must be original and self-created.
• Copied, plagiarized, or guideline-violating memes will be disqualified.
• The core team of 4E Wave shall not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringement of intellectual property rights carried out by the participants.

How to Participate (3 Simple Steps)?

Step 2: Submit Your Meme on Google Form available on 4E Wave Portal

• Upload your meme through the Google Form available on the 4E Wave portal. Fill in all required details in the prescribed format and upload a scanned PDF document of the participant’s ID proof in given Tab.

Incomplete submissions shall not be considered.

Submission Period

• Memes can be submitted from 20^th February 2026 (10:00 AM) to 10th March 2026 (11:59 PM).

• Entries received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Selection of Winners

• The 4E Wave team will upload the memes, after due scrutiny with regard to content, relevance to the theme, and originality, on the official Instagram handle of 4E Wave: https://www.instagram.com/4e_wave

• The memes will remain available on the official Instagram handle from 10^th March 2026 to 20^th March 2026 for public viewing.

• Winners will be selected based on the highest number of likes received on the meme during the competition period (i.e. from 10^th March 2026 to 20^th March 2026).

• Likes received after the deadline shall not be counted.

Prizes & Certificates

Top three Winners based on the number of likes will receive exciting prizes.

• Top Ten Memes based on the number of likes will receive Certificates of Merit signed by a dignitary.

• Verification & Declaration of Results
• On completion of the prescribed public viewing period (i.e. on 21^st March 2026), a provisional list of the top ten (10) entries shall be uploaded on the official 4E Wave portal https://www.4ewave.com
• From among the candidates included in the provisional list, the top three (03) candidates shall be considered for declaration as winners, subject to verification of eligibility and documents.
• The candidates shortlisted for document verification shall be required to submit the self-attested copies of the following documents:

• Aadhaar Card
  ii. Valid Student Identity Card
  iii. Email ID
  iv. Contact Number
  v. Residential Address

• Only those candidates who fulfil the eligibility conditions and whose documents are found to be genuine, complete, and in order shall be declared as winners.
• In the event of non-submission of documents within the stipulated time, or if the documents produced are found to be false, incomplete, or not in conformity with the prescribed eligibility criteria, the candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled forthwith, and the next eligible candidate in order of merit from the provisional list shall be considered, without issuing any further notice.
• The decision of the 4E Wave Organizing Committee in all matters relating to selection shall be final and binding, and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
• Important Instructions:
• Only one entry per participant is permitted.
• Multiple entries made by any participant will render him disqualified from the contest.
• Only memes found relevant to the theme of energy conservation shall be approved and shared on the official 4E Wave Instagram page.
• Irrelevant, misleading, offensive, plagiarized, or inappropriate entries shall be rejected.
• The decision of the organizing committee of 4E wave regarding approval or rejection of memes shall be final and binding.
• Use of copied or third-party content shall lead to immediate disqualification.
• Any attempt to manipulate likes or engage in unfair practices shall result in disqualification. The 4E Wave team may use suitable software for ascertaining the same
• By participating, participants grant permission to 4E Wave to use, repost, and publish the submitted memes on its official platforms with due credit.
• The organizers reserve the right to modify, extend, or cancel the competition at any stage without prior notice.
• If an entry violates the guidelines, it will be disqualified from the evaluation process without any further intimation or explanation to the participants. The concerned candidate shall also be liable to be debarred from participation in any future contest organized under the 4E Wave framework.
• The 4E Wave team may undertake publicity activities relating to the competition and prize awards. Winners shall agree to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of region of residence in any post-prize-winning publicity activities.
• Any dispute or issue related to this competition shall be decided by the 4E Wave team which will be final and binding upon all.
